By the late 1970s Alan had established his path forward. He was selling to a few galleries as well as privately. As soon as he started to show through national craft fairs, sales increased and so did the size of the studio and production team. Alan designed the work and often made the first models as well. Then the team of ten took over and filled orders. Over the next ten years or so, the operation grew steadily as Alan began selling his work to a wider national audience. Alan’s jewelry appeared in many magazines and won a series of awards. His work was sold to galleries and jewelry stores all over the country and overseas.
